Interviews wanted for an art project on the Overview Effect

The photographer Lisa-Maria Gruber (program in Photojournalism & Documentary Photography, Hochschule Hannover) is working on an artistic-documentary project about the so-called Overview Effect.

The focus is on scientists who, similar to astronauts, look at our planet from a distance, for example, through remote sensing, atmospheric research, or astronomy. Interviews and portraits explore the question: What knowledge, feelings, and insights arise from this special perspective on Earth?

Scientists who are interested in discussing their work and their view of the Earth in a conversation lasting about 1 to 1.5 hours are sought. Following this, a portrait photo will be taken (approximately 20–30 minutes).

Interviews are possible in German or English. Currently, until the end of February, Lisa-Maria is in Valencia, Spain, and looking for interview partners there. From March onwards, she’ll be back in Germany and Austria and looking for interview partners in these countries.
